Safety is always the most important aspect of all S & J Electric projects. Every employee has undergone a pre-employment drug screen and will be tested periodically to ensure a healthy drug free environment. Each employee undergoes a rigorous Safety Training Program at S & J Electric as well as the safety rules for the project/plant to which they are assigned to work.

The diversity of S & J Electric's work requires a wide range of safety procedures. For S & J Electric employees, work can mean being in an underground trench, elevated to heights of 225 feet, or standing in the middle of a busy intersection. Proper procedures for ladders, scaffolding, trenches, and boring are closely followed. Our work in a variety of environments, from airports to train stations, to working with hazardous chemicals requires additional safety procedures that are job specific.

To enhance our Safety Program, we use materials from a wide range of sources, including manufacturers, government agencies and others. Materials mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are among our many resources. Our work requires that we have extensive safety information available to us. For example, our work at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Aiport requires workers to know how to safely close a runway.

S & J Electric holds an AGC Certificate of Excellence in Safety. S & J Electric currently has an Insurance experience modifier factor of .66 and an exceptional loss ratio on all commercial lines of coverage.
